Welcome to Bridgend County Swim Squad, a competitive swimming club affiliated to the Welsh Amateur Swimming Association, with members from 7 to 70 years of age including swimmers who compete at national, international and Olympic levels. The Club is divided into various squads with Development Squads for young swimmers in each of the 4 pools at Maesteg, Pencoed, Pyle and Ynysawdre. More details can be found under Club Structure in the Navigation box. New members should register at the Log in box to gain full website access and we would encourage you to use the site to keep up to date with Club news. You should also read the section entitled ……. which includes the Club’s Code of Conduct plus information about entering competitions.

Competition
competition resultsI would like to congratulate everyone who swam on the weekend 15/16th November at Newport for the South East Wales Sub-Regional Championships. Everyone swam really well, and most people achieved PB's. We won 42 medals, 12-Gold/ 16-Silver/ 14-Bronze.

Well done everyone involved.

Please note all infomation for competitive skills will now be posted on the discussion forum, not on the news page.

Please check this regularly as you will get the most up to date infomation from it.

Any questions you want to ask can be asked on the forum and I will try to answer them for you.

Competitive Skills
competition alertAll Competitive Skills swimmers need to enter the xmas cracker on the 7th December at Newport. Any Development swimmers wishing to enter there will be a coach at this meet so please feel free to enter. The more the merrier. See news section below for entry forms.

Please note that saturday 8th morning session is cancelled, instead we will be training long course in Swansea 11-1. All Competitive Skills swimmers need to be there as we do not get many opportunities to train long course. Speedo League swimmers excluded.

Competitive skills session friday 14th is cancelled. Please use this opportunity to rest for the sub-regional meet in newport.

Important Please note that normally you DO need to train the day before a competition, and this is just a calender issue.

Competitive skills Please note that Monday night training will now be two hours 6.30-8.30 instead of just 6.30-7.30. This may only be tempory, but please use this opportunity for extra training.

Senior club PM please note you can either train two hours 6.30-8.30 or stick to 7.30-8.30.
